Surprise!!

I always LOVE to surprise Brandon for his birthday and Christmas with something he's been wanting for a while that's a little "bigger". He had yet to do it for me---until Saturday. Our 6 year anniversary was on Sunday and we decided to celebrate it on Saturday. Brandon said he wanted to plan the whole thing--I know, a shocker--sooo not like my hubby. I was excited. An hour before our "date" I took the kiddos over to my in-laws and stuck around for a while while Brandon got some things ready.

I went over to get him at 5 and we headed out for some Chinese Take out--I thought he had decorated the house and we were getting the food to go. We did get it to go--and when we got home, he made me close my eyes and he led me to the back room. There, he gave me a present-- my Prestige video. I was a little confused as it was our copy. Here I am thinking, "does he not know we own it???" Then he said, "Do you remember saying that Prestige was the first movie you wanted to watch on our plasma?" I was like, WHAT?????? He opened the door and I ran to the living room to find this:

A 50" Plasma----for us!! Man oh man, was I floored!! We ate our chinese food, toasted our 6 wonderful years of marriage with some sparkling cider, and we watched Eagle Eye (that Brandon had rented earlier) on our new TV. When Logan came home and saw it he said, "WOW, a movie theater!!" hehe On sunday we watched Kung Fu Panda as a family at our "theater". So cool.

Thanks Brandon for a wonderful surprise-- I really had no idea!!
I love you so much and am grateful for the past 6 years we've had--here's to another 6 baby!!

What a week!

The wedding then Christmas--we've had our hands full. Brandon's parents came up for the week of Christmas so we've been spending all our time over at his parents house with them. Kort (Brandon's cousin) got Rockband and we had fun jammin' to some tunes--and we got a little addicted. hehe

We had a wonderful Christmas--I hope all of you did!! Logan and Landen got totally spoiled--as did I. Some of Logan's favorite gifts: his new Cowboy jammies from Oma and Poppie, Hot Wheels Trick Track, Kung Fu Panda, and a Car's sleeping bag. My favorite gifts: my new kitchen aide, a new mustard yellow sweater, a cake mix cook book, and scrapbooking paper. I got Brandon all the season's of The Office with a matching calendar and The Office Trivia Game. I could hardly sleep the night before, I was so excited about Logan finding his Stocking and presents from Santa. Here's some fun pictures from our holiday!

The boys new jammies:

A stocking loaded with fun stuff!

Always gotta get a picture of a bow on someone's head right??
Me and my new cookbook I've been wanting-- Rice Krispie Marshmallow chocolate cake, now doesn't that sound like heaven???

He got his Hot Wheels!!
Wonder who will win the first game!?
Logan got lots of new movies
Hope all of you that have time off enjoy it--Brandon's back at work. It's like 40 degrees today so I think we'll go play in the snow. Off to Walmart for a pair of little mittens!

whew.

Ali's wedding went really well. We had a wonderful day. I always ball like a baby when I attend Temple sealings--didn't cry at my own wedding, but everyone else's--the waterworks start goin'! ALi looked stunning and Josh was as handsome as can be. I think they had a wonderful day--I hope they never forget it! The reception went well--here's some pictures.

Okay, how handsome are my boys???? Logan and Parker decided it was time to slide down the ramp at the reception--lucky we didn't get any holes in the knees.

Brandon got a good one of me.

The cake

Me and the cake--it's finally done!

Ali and Josh--aren't they so adorable together??

Are you really kidding me? or as Brit would say, "REALLY?"

Okay--how dorky does Logan look in these pictures??? What's with that smile? Brandon and I sat with candy trying to get him to do a normal smile and this is what we get--a fat lip. Later that night Logan complained that his lips were hurting--they were chapped. kinda explains it. Well, so much for darling christmas card pictures!

A glitterific christmas

Logan and I have been doing lots of glitter projects this season--much to daddy's disappointment. He doesn't like sitting in a pile of glitter Logan has dumped on the kitchen chairs. hehe But we've been having fun making everything sparkle!! I'm just loving that he gets excited when I come up with new crafts and art projects to do.

This is a really busy week for me. Ali is getting married on Saturday and I'm doing the cake, an advice book, helping with the photography, and helping make the food... a little stressed. I'll be excited when this week is over!

Just what I always wanted!

As my baby brother would say! My mom and dad got us this GORGEOUS nativity this year for Christmas. I've always wanted theirs, but Costco quit selling them. This year they had a special Edition one, and I'm lucky enough to get it!! I've threatened Logan that if he touches it, he just might loose an arm ;) !!

Look how pretty!!!

To the man who deserves it all...

It was Brandon's 28th birthday on Saturday--which just so happened to be the big BYU vs. Utah game (his favorite day of the year!). We had a BYU party, sandwiches, BYU cake balls, and I made an ice cream cake. Brittany's friend Greg brought over his 50" Plasma for them to watch it on while I took the kiddos to our house to be out of his hair! I think he had a great day despite the fact that BYU lost--sad times.

He got totally spoiled, as always! He got his Ipod touch that he'd been saving up for, clothes, movies, and lots of candy! What's a birthday without candy??? We went out to his favorite restaurant on Friday for luch-Quiznos. I always forget how expensive they can be! $10 for his sandwich!

In honor of the old man, I have 10 things he did at 27:

1.) Had his second child--although he is a red head, he still loves him! hehe
2.) Got through the whole series of P90X--hot stuff!! You are my stud muffin!!
3.) Earned a promotion at work--now he loves working with two ladies in a cramped room!
4.) Found his long lost backpack at my parents house. He still talks about how much he missed it.
5.)The proud owner of a 2005 Dodge mini van--never thought that would happen, did ya honey??
6.)Assistant Ward Clerk and Nursery teacher--a calling they said they would release him from after 6 mo., it's now over a year. But you are so good with the kids babe!
7.) fell in love with his Blackberry phone.
8.) Makes up the craziest nicknames for us. Landen: Gilly Gilly Go Bonkers, Getcha Getcha, Crazy Legs McGee Logan: Handsome Randsom, Whinner Bucket, Bratolie Olie Me: Lady Parts (that one makes me laugh)
9.) Took an intrest in learning to play the Guitar.
10.) Made me love him more than I ever had. We've gone through some tough times and some wonderful times. But each day that we struggled through brought us closer together. The thought of life without him is unbearable. He makes me laugh each day and lifts me up when my soul is feeling down. I look forward to your 28th year baby--I know it will be a good one and I hope we have many happy memories to come!

I love you Brandon!!

A Quick trip

Brandon had a Bank Conference on Wednesday so we headed down for an overnight stay in Salt Lake City. The bank paid for everything--so we went along for kicks! Everything was wonderful, we got to eat at the Cheesecake Factory--AMAZING! I walked in hating mushrooms and walked out in love with them.

I thought I was going to sleep like a baby, I usually do in hotels, but for some reason my ears kept ringing, the man in the next room had his TV up really loud and he was snoring on top of it!! Then Landen kept waking up so I didn't get to sleep until 3am and I had to wake up early to take Brandon to the conference. Not a fun night, but we made it through and their free breakfast was worth the bad night's sleep! Yum!

Here's Loggy jumping on the bed

Baby for sale!!

Who wants him???

Landen broke my sewing machine today.

Got his arm caught in the cord and crawled away pulling the sewing machine down to it's death. Luckily he's okay.

The top is smashed in and it wont turn on.

I use that thing more than I use my hairdryer.

I hope it doesn't cost much to get it repaired.

depressing day.

just to annoy you...

I woke up with this stupid cat in my head. My sister in law showed us this video like 4 years ago--I'm not kidding. And I woke up singing it. So stupid and so funny--have a laugh. (I like the middle part when he sings-- I say sexy things to myself when I'm dancing--always makes me giggle!!) Even Logan got a little annoyed with it when I showed it to him--now that's saying something!!

And for my parents enjoyment-- I never posted Halloween pics of the boys. Here's some cute ones!

What a cheeseball!

Just got done putting on the Christmas Relief Society night-WHEW!! That was so much work--I've spent weeks preparing for it! Its finally over, but for some reason I still feel stressed out--I think it's time for a bubble bath!

have a wonderful night!!

Trick or Treat!

We headed out for Trunk or Treat last night and got there a little late. As soon as we pulled into the parking space, kids were running to the trunk, vicious kids. hehe Logan talked about it all day long, although as soon as we started to go around, he suddenly lost his voice and became very shy. So not my kid. Although I thought it was MAJOR cute.

We ate some yummy soup and homemade bread. Cookies for dessert--which didn't seem to go very far. Every time we went up to get some, the majority of them were gone. Logan did a great job playing all the games: getting his face painted (which looked more like a squid than a skull and crossbones), fishing for toys (he got a chinese yo yo that is now his favorite toy-- he had to sleep with it last night. No my son doesn't sleep with a stuffed animal-- he sleeps with a yo yo. if that's not nerdy, i don't know what is.), bowling for candy, and my favorite-- the donut on a string.

We had such a great night--here's some fun pics:One more of the cute scary kangaroo
