Trick or Treat!

We headed out for Trunk or Treat last night and got there a little late. As soon as we pulled into the parking space, kids were running to the trunk, vicious kids. hehe Logan talked about it all day long, although as soon as we started to go around, he suddenly lost his voice and became very shy. So not my kid. Although I thought it was MAJOR cute.

We ate some yummy soup and homemade bread. Cookies for dessert--which didn't seem to go very far. Every time we went up to get some, the majority of them were gone. Logan did a great job playing all the games: getting his face painted (which looked more like a squid than a skull and crossbones), fishing for toys (he got a chinese yo yo that is now his favorite toy-- he had to sleep with it last night. No my son doesn't sleep with a stuffed animal-- he sleeps with a yo yo. if that's not nerdy, i don't know what is.), bowling for candy, and my favorite-- the donut on a string.

We had such a great night--here's some fun pics:One more of the cute scary kangaroo

10 things.

1.) Logan made me almost pee my pants this morning when he told me, " Mom, we need to go to Old Lady to get Landen some new clothes!" hee hee

2.) I got a new comfy sweater for winter. All I need is a comfy sweater, cocoa, and a good book!!

3.) Landen learned to wave to us. SO cute.

4.) We went to the ER last night because Logan was screaming that his ears hurt. I thought he had a double ear infection. After hours of waiting we found out that they were mildly red. Grrrrrrr. we have him on Tylenol. He slept like a baby when we got home at Midnight, of course.

5.) Made this amazing recipe today. can't stay out of it--probably gained back all my weight in one sitting! Not exactly like Moose Munch, but the closest I've ever had!

6.) Carved pumpkins for FHE. Poor Brandon--he spent half an hour helping Logan carve his little pumpkin just to have Logan push on the face and bust it in. So now Logan's jack o lantern is just a pumpkin with a hole in it, a large hole.

7.) Logan's new favorite question:
Logan to me this morning: "Hey mom- what you gonna be for Halloween??"
Logan to our friend Alan on Saturday: " Hey, Hey, Hey-- What is Ryan going to be for Halloween?"
Logan to Parker: "Hey Parker--What you going to be for Halloween?"

8.) Took Ali's bridal pictures on sunday at the Temple and they turned out GORGEOUS--sorry I can't post them on account that Josh can't see her dress and if he happened to peek at my blog I'd be in MAJOR trouble with her!

9.) Got a new potato peeler. Brandon saw it on the counter and picked it up. Very seriously he said, "Kandis, I thought we were going to talk to each other before we made major purchases. This could break the bank." (he's joking--my hubby's not psycho, although sometimes I wonder, hehee)

10.) This week is Halloween. This week is Halloween. This week is Halloween. This week is Halloween. This week is Halloween. This week is Halloween. This week is Halloween. This week is Halloween. This week is Halloween. This week is Halloween. This week is Halloween. This week is Halloween. This week is Halloween. This week is Halloween. This week is Halloween.

Preschool at our house

Yay!! Now picture the grimace on my face as I imagine five wild three year olds running through my house--then realizing that this is what Kate goes through every day (from John and Kate plus eight) Aack!! But we made it through! We learned about the letter E and also about fall, hence the stupid tags I made them all wear. We sang songs and read Logan's favorite book-- My Little Sister Ate One Hare. Then we did leaf rubbings-- with a LOT of help from me. I was happy when it was snack time, as were the kids.

Logan could not settle down for like an hour before the kids came over, he was so excited. This is a picture of him when he jumped off the couch.

The play kitchen that Logan won't play with but every other kid loves.

Snack time!

Isn't she lovely?

Isn't she beautiful? I got to take Lynne's (my sister in law) Senior pictures a couple weeks ago and I just love how they turned out. We found this old scary building that turned out to have some way cool windows!

A day at the patch...

Last week Logan's preschool took a field trip to the pumpkin patch. Man, was it cold. We were shivering so much that we only spent like 5 minutes looking for one. Logan found the perfect pumpkin... and of course mommy forgot to bring correct cash (they don't have anyone taking money, you have to have exact change)I only had a $20 and was not about to drop that in for a tiny little pumpkin. So instead I found .75 and he got a mini pumpkin. He was cool with it. plus we're going as a family next week so he'll get to pick another one out.

Such a sad day at our house... Logan has stopped calling us mommy and daddy. we are now officially Mom and Dad. So sad. I think I cried when he first called me that.

I've been a bad bad bad blogger--so to make up for it, I'm going to post every day this week--that should make my mom happy!! I need to get my butt in gear and start taking some pictures!

thanks for stopping by! hope you have a great day!

Squishy Sqishy Squashy

Logan had some fun dancing to Barney this morning. (that's where my title came from, I can't get the stupid song out of my head!) Well, our trip to the dentist went okay. Logan did amazing. The dentist said he was the best 3 year old he's EVER had. Which was pretty cool-- he was so proud of himself. I, on the other hand, didn't do so well. No root canals, but 8--yes 8, cavities. No wonder my mouth hurts! So I have a couple more appointments to get them filled. Plus I have to get my wisdom teeth out.

We had a great weekend, Friday we had a party over at our friends house for the BYU game. We made this amazing salsa and some fun cookies. The boys( our husbands) had so much fun yelling at the television. Luckily they won--otherwise I'd have one grumpy hubby!

Mmmmm, doesn't that look good?? I substituted black beans for the peas and added another half of a bunch of cilantro. Everyone was dying over it--you'll have to try it!
