Brandon's wierd facts

Okay so here's a top ten wierd facts about my hubby, Brandon.

1.) He loves to golf and just bought a new Hybrid club by Taylormade. That's all he can talk about-- getting to the driving range.

2.) He's a saver. Until last week when he bought that club, he had money in his wallet from his birthday.... last November. I on the other hand can't keep my money.... I spend it too fast!

3.) He HATES tomatoes, but will drink Tomato juice, eat salsa, and spagetti sauce.

4.) Whenever he sees me do a funny dance, he laughs and asks me, "Does that hurt? Are you sure that doesn't hurt?" cracks me up everytime.

5.) He randomly makes up songs-- usually about how Logan wont stop whining or eat his dinner. He's a little tone deaf, and I think Logan has started to pick up on it. He sang to me, "No mommy i can't find my shoes." this morning.

6.) Quizno's is his favorite sub shop. Gotta love their french dip!

7.) He's a HUGE Jack Johnson fan. When I bought him a guitar for Christmas, I had to get the Jack Johnson song book to go with. He plays his CD's so much, Logan even knows the words.

8.) He secretly likes to be creative. I asked him to make a scrapbook page for me one time and he spent like an hour on it. We used to do linoleum carvings and then you stamp with them. Brandon did one of the Jazz logo and when he stamped it, realized he didn't carve it backwards like he was supposed to. he he

9.) WHat he really really wants right now is a Plasma TV. He keeps trying to bribe me by saying that he'll watch lots more movies with me if we had one.... I don't believe it. He wont watch a movie more than one time.

10.)here's a funny one. Up until 7th grade, he only wore sweatpants. I couldn't stop laughing when we drove past an old rollerskating rink. This is our conversation:

Me: "Did you ever have parties at the roller rink when you were in elementary school?"

Brandon: "Yes, me and McKay used to go, I mostly stayed in the arcade."

Me: " Did you ever do couple's skating?"

Brandon: "Kandis, I was still wearing sweatpants- I didn't even own a pair of jeans, do you think I had a girlfriend?"

That's when I busted up laughing! He even mentioned that he had many pairs of the sweatpants that looked like they had shorts over the top--what a babe. Wish he still had a pair! wink wink

And that's my hilarious husband!! Couldn't live without him!

What did you stick in my mouth??

That's what Landen seemed to say when we first fed him Rice Cereal. He hated it. Look at his face. I've tried eveything and he still wont eat it. Logan loved it, what's wrong with this child? Brandon was brave enough to take a taste, he said," no wonder he doesn't like it, it tastes like paste." But aren't kids supposed to like eating paste? I'm confused. Sorry about the bad blurry photos. It was late at night and very dark. Logan had a BLAST feeding Landen though. I think he's going to either be a big helper or shove it all down his throat until the baby gags kind of brother.

Watermelon- the summer candy!!

We had a TON of watermelon on Father's day and the boys and I could not stay out of it! YUMMY! I have to say it's one of the things that I look forward to most during summer--although with prices the way that they are we can hardly afford a $10 watermelon! Yikes! Block Party

I didn't know they even had them anymore... but Brandon's family does every year. We got to go this year, it was really fun. The kids were dancing around and there was some yummy food. Here's some fun pics from the night.

1. not thinking before I speak
2. waiting until we have no more whites left to do the laundry.
3. forgetting to put my lens cap on my camera... Brandon gets so mad.
4. leaving the seat in the van up all the way so Brandon bangs his knees into the steering wheel when he gets in to drive. It's okay, he leaves the toilet seat up for me... so we're even.

First haircut... bye bye curls...

We finally had to break down and do it. Brandon found a couple of LONG hairs on Landen's head and we just couldn't take it any longer. Plus he had rubbed off a bald patch on the back of his head so it looked like I gave him a haircut already.

And a pic of logan getting his hair cut. He does such a good job, we let him stand on the counter and look in the mirror while we do it. For some reason it calms his fears. He HATES getting hair in his mouth though and he tries to get it out with his hair covered hands and starts spitting everywhere. I always die laughing.

Daily Life

I try to remind myself how important living in the moment is. That my Daily life is what my children and I will remember. I try to treasure those little times that I think I'll forget in a couple years. Here's one: Logan doing a strange (and kinda scary) Kissing Tiger face. He kept chasing me around the house, growling and kissing!! he he so cute. He said, "Mommy, I'm the Scary Kissing Tiger. And these are my tiger paws" (holding up his claw-like hands)I'm so glad I got this picture of him!



And here's a picture of Landen when he just got out of his bath wrapped in a fluffy white towel. So sweet and he smelled sooooo good. He kept smiling and laughing in the bathtub, but when I went to take a picture of him, he refused to do either. I think he's going to be a big booger, like his older brother!! :)
