Happy Birthday to you... You live in a zoo....

Definitely a zoo with these boys around!! Brandon's dad turned 52 this weekend and we got to have a fun party for him filled with yummy food! After church we headed over to grandma and grandpa's house for hoagies, chip dip (our favorite), fresh fruit salad, and some YUMMY cheesecake. I think we made ourselves sick eating so much! We got Logan's and Britany's birthday's this weekend--more food!

Logan had so much fun helping Grandpa open his presents--or should I say he NEEDED to open the presents because if he didn't I think he was going to explode. That child can NOT see a present and not be part of opening it! We all pitched in to buy him a fire pit that I'm excited about--that means s'mores are in our future, hehe!!

Pioneer Children

We had our stake Pioneer celebration this past thursday. We even went early for Logan to be in the parade, but he didn't want to so we got to watch. Everyone brought salads and dessert and we chowed down on fried chicken. I don't know why they only had two tables to serve people. Brandon stood in line for 30 minutes to get food. Maybe next year they'll re-think that! They had some chalk for the kids and the boys had a blast drawing on the road. Here's some pics of the fun. I got a couple pics of Talia's boys too-so cute!

A Birthday party just like Barney's!

Logan's friend Petra had a birthday this week and Logan was invited to her party. ALl day long he kept saying, "It's going to be a party like on Barney!" He was soooooo excited! It was so cute, they all got hats that said Monkey Patrol, flashlights and magnifiying glasses to find the monkeys. The theme was The Monkeys Have Escaped From the Zoo. Logan got into all the games, ate Talia's fun monkey cupcakes and her ADORABLE cake, which I forgot to take a pic of. Logan is now talking about his party next week, he can't wait!

A trip to Heber City...

We had a family reunion this past weekend and go to head down to Utah for some fun camping! Here's some pictures we took on the way down and randomly as we went shopping! Logan watched Kidsongs and Cars the whole time-we made him wear the headphones so I didn't have to hear it over and over again. Like how big they are on him?

Then Brandon got mad at me for taking pics in the car- he thought I was going to drop the camera out the window.

When we go down to Utah, we always have to stop at Red Robin's- our favorite burger place. here's mom, dad and Lynne. Mom's a little blurry from laughing at the funny face Dad's making.

We stopped at Garner village ( I hope I spelt that right). Such a cute little place and we had to hit the fudge shop right when we got there. Brandon picked English Toffee and I picked Caramello- both were soooooo good. We found a couple fun places to take pics.

Happy 4th!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July--we did. Logan has been talking about the parade for weeks now so when we woke up on friday he ran out into the living room and shouted, "We're going to the parade today!" The funny thing is that he was frightened of it--well at least the horses. We had a wonderful BBQ at Brandon's parents house and went to watch fireworks at the park. Of course we sat right behind a group of trees and had to move when they started-just our luck. Baby slept through all of it and logan had to plug his ears every once in a while-but he did way better than I thought and I was so happy to walk away without any mosquito bites-YIPPEEEEE!!!!

Okay so here's a top ten wierd facts about my hubby, Brandon.

1.) He loves to golf and just bought a new Hybrid club by Taylormade. That's all he can talk about-- getting to the driving range.

2.) He's a saver. Until last week when he bought that club, he had money in his wallet from his birthday.... last November. I on the other hand can't keep my money.... I spend it too fast!

3.) He HATES tomatoes, but will drink Tomato juice, eat salsa, and spagetti sauce.

4.) Whenever he sees me do a funny dance, he laughs and asks me, "Does that hurt? Are you sure that doesn't hurt?" cracks me up everytime.

5.) He randomly makes up songs-- usually about how Logan wont stop whining or eat his dinner. He's a little tone deaf, and I think Logan has started to pick up on it. He sang to me, "No mommy i can't find my shoes." this morning.

6.) Quizno's is his favorite sub shop. Gotta love their french dip!

7.) He's a HUGE Jack Johnson fan. When I bought him a guitar for Christmas, I had to get the Jack Johnson song book to go with. He plays his CD's so much, Logan even knows the words.

8.) He secretly likes to be creative. I asked him to make a scrapbook page for me one time and he spent like an hour on it. We used to do linoleum carvings and then you stamp with them. Brandon did one of the Jazz logo and when he stamped it, realized he didn't carve it backwards like he was supposed to. he he

9.) WHat he really really wants right now is a Plasma TV. He keeps trying to bribe me by saying that he'll watch lots more movies with me if we had one.... I don't believe it. He wont watch a movie more than one time.

10.)here's a funny one. Up until 7th grade, he only wore sweatpants. I couldn't stop laughing when we drove past an old rollerskating rink. This is our conversation:

Me: "Did you ever have parties at the roller rink when you were in elementary school?"

Brandon: "Yes, me and McKay used to go, I mostly stayed in the arcade."

Me: " Did you ever do couple's skating?"

Brandon: "Kandis, I was still wearing sweatpants- I didn't even own a pair of jeans, do you think I had a girlfriend?"

That's when I busted up laughing! He even mentioned that he had many pairs of the sweatpants that looked like they had shorts over the top--what a babe. Wish he still had a pair! wink wink

And that's my hilarious husband!! Couldn't live without him!

That's what Landen seemed to say when we first fed him Rice Cereal. He hated it. Look at his face. I've tried eveything and he still wont eat it. Logan loved it, what's wrong with this child? Brandon was brave enough to take a taste, he said," no wonder he doesn't like it, it tastes like paste." But aren't kids supposed to like eating paste? I'm confused. Sorry about the bad blurry photos. It was late at night and very dark. Logan had a BLAST feeding Landen though. I think he's going to either be a big helper or shove it all down his throat until the baby gags kind of brother.
