Stinky Eye

We had leftovers today for dinner. I made an amazing Chicken chili and froze all the leftovers. I warmed some up today and Logan said to me:

Logan: "Mommy, when you made this soup last week, you got stinky eye."

Me: (chuckling) "WHAT?"

Logan: "Remember mommy? You cut the onions and you got stinky eye."

Then it hit me that he meant stinging eyes. My eyes water really bad with onions. When I made this soup it got so bad that I had to eat my dinner outside so that my eyes would clear up.

Me: "Oh, you mean my eyes stung from the onions."

Logan: "yea, you got stinky eyes Mommy!"

So yes, I do get stinky eye every once in a while. Brandon and I sure got a kick out of that one!!

It was a GOOD week.

Sorry I've been MIA lately. We just put an offer on a house we wanted really bad and it was accepted. Now we're flying through all inspections and everything because we have to close by April 15th to get a property tax exemption. I can't wait to move in and get everything the way I want it. I already have the paint colors picked out and the hardwood flooring for my scrapbook room all picked out! The basement is almost finished, it just needs flooring and carpet put in. Which is nice for us because we can make it exactly how we want it. I'll post pictures as soon as possible! We just can't believe we're finally going to have a HOME!

Logan and Landen have been doing a great job making me crazy--if that's what they are trying to do.
*Yesterday I just finished vaccuming when they proceeded to dump, and crush (I might add) Tootie Frootie cereal into the carpet. Yea. I didn't vaccum again. I'm not that good of a housekeeper. :)
*Landen learned how to pinch, HARD. Especially on the neck.
*The couch cushions have not been seen on the couch for three days straight. Logan pretends he's Peter Pan and jumps off the couch onto a pile of cushions. All the while he's holding a miniture sword--and I mean MINI sword, from a pirate game. He says it's "Just like Peter's!" I have to threaten him to make him stay away from my dough hook for the kitchen aide. He doesn't need to be Captain Hook and get a hook in the eye. Not today.
*Landen is constantly running into the kitchen, grunting and pointing to any kind of food he can get out of me. Although he wont eat ANYTHING at Lunch or dinner.
*Oh, and Logan conveniently forgot how to LISTEN to us... he's spent a lot of his day in time out lately. I kinda feel bad for him... but then again.... maybe not.

Here's some picture of the little terrors! Notice how I have three pictures of Landen and only one of Logan... I couldn't post pictures of him sticking his bum in the camera.

Like the Starburst wrapper stuck to his upper lip?? Thought that was funny.

An "I need my Mommy" day

The past 4 days Landen has been feeling not quite himself. He got 4 shots last thursday and they said he had a sinus infection. They put him on antibiotics and it still doesn't seem like it's helping much. He just follows me around the house and crys. The good thing is that he wants to cuddle a lot more--trying to take advantage of it instead of getting frustrated that I can't get anything done! Here's some pics I got of me and the boys.

Love this one--even though it's slightly blurry.
Contemplating taking another photography class--I'll be on the waiting list, but maybe I'll get in the June class. Would be soooo cool. Anyone want to do it with me??

Life as I know it.

A big thank you to my friend Sabrina--she made my day by posting some "cold, hard, truths" about herself. Really made me realize that we are all not perfect. That we're all so much alike. So I'm doing it as well. Here's some embarrassing, oh, so imperfect things about me:

* I haven't cleaned my bathroom in 10 days.
* My children have eaten Marshmallow Mateys for breakfast and lunch the past week.
* My bed is never made.
* I constantly compare myself to everyone.
* I don't eat my vegetables.
* I allow my children to watch hours of television.
* I still have a package of bacon in my fridge that's been in there for a month and a half.
* Logan learned the word "crap" from me. Classy, I know.
* I'm lucky if I'm dressed by noon.
* I never remember birthdays.

I bet you feel better about yourself now. haha. Thanks for letting me admit that I'm not perfect!
