Really? uh huh.

Logan, Landen, and I went for a walk today around the neighborhood, the weather was perfect to get out for a while. Logan had to try out his trike--squeaky as can be! But on our walk I decided that I need to pay attention to his little stories that he tells me. It always makes me chuckle when they are completely pointless and sooo random.

He saw some blotches of mud on the sidewalk and this is the story he told me:

Logan: " Mom, see these footprints? They are from a bear.... (pause) and from BigFoot."

Me: "How in the world did a bear and bigfoot get out here?"

Logan: "A man jumped and the cage was opened and the bear came out with Big feet. Roar!"

Me: "Really? uh huh. "

Love the classic Mom response.

Then literally two feet later he sees a skid mark on the sidewalk and tells me about some baby snake that grew really big so then it was slow and that's the mark it made. RANDOMNESS. Love it!

We got out the sprinkler the other day and had some fun in the sun!!

Muddy Face McGee

Random spoon--not quite sure where he got it. Yuck. I hope he didn't stick it in his mouth. Who am I kidding? It's probably the first thing he did!

Goodbye spoon--now I need to go find it and pick it up.

He's turning GREEENNNNNN!!!

Run for your lives!

He's a MONSTER!

Isn't he a cute monster?? hehe

Picked up these awesome hulk hands at a garage sale. I can see many, many fights in my future. LOL

He's running at me and then punching me in the face. That's why it's blurry. Thanks Landen.

A silly kind of day...

Logan discovered my long lost bin of dress up clothes that I've been saving until he was ready to play! He would drag EVERY single costume into the house and beg me to put it on him. I had a dinosaur, turtle, cowboy, magician, superhero, dumbo, graduate for a child today. And Landen did not want to miss out on all the fun. Everytime Logan got an outfit on, he would drag the red cape to me and grunt until I put it on him--so super cute!

It was really fun to take them to Walmart and Fred Meyers in their capes. Logan cried until I let him bring his magic wand as well. haha. What a sight we must have been. It's days like this that I TRULY LOVE being a mom. Super fun!

Logan the Magician

Now he's casting spells. His chant: "appear, appear, make this door disappear!"

Turning is brother into a super hero

Landen taking the super hero stance. Saving the world with his super chunky thighs! :)

And cowboy pants that should fit a 12 year old. Kinda a nerdy cowboy! LOL

P.S. I found out Landen finally learned how to say Mama--it's only when I ignore his crying for 10 minutes that he gets fed up and starts screaming "Mama, mama" and pulls on my pants. NEver at any other moment though.

Logan saves the day!!

Long story short-- we locked ourselves out of the house two times this past week. The first time one of the windows was open and we didn't even know it. So we made sure all of them were locked up good after that. Then, on friday we decided to go for a bike ride and Brandon said, "Will you lock up all the doors?" I went in and locked everything up then came out. He looked at me and said, " You DID get the key, right??" Ummmmm..... no.

Luckily we had some members from our ward come help us. Brandon and another guy were able to push open the back door a few inches and squeeze Logan's head through. He was then able to unlock the front door. We shouted for joy--literally. I didn't want to call a lock smith! We told him, "YOu're a hero Logan! You saved the day! " Now he tells everyone that comes to the door that he's just like superman and then he tells them the story. So cute.

Grrrrrr... mother bear!

We just watched Taken and I have to say I was pretty emotionally involved! I LOVE action movies and we watch them all the time. When a scary part comes on, I usually just jump. I don't say much. With this movie, I caught Brandon off guard. I kept yelling, "Kill them!! KILL THEM ALL!!!" I think he even jumped a little when I yelled. LOL What a nice LDS woman thing to say. But I'm telling you, if anyone, ANYONE got my children, I would hunt them down and kill them slowly.... not kidding.

so christian of me.

I might not sleep tonight. I'll be practicing my kung fu moves by the front door! watch out!

I can't sew. Well, I can't sew well--or fast. I'm sllllloooooowwwwwlllyyyy learning. Here's a couple purses I made and I love. Although I don't have outfits to go with them yet--hmmmm, I feel a shopping trip coming on. If I was really good, I'd make a matching outfit! haha!

To all the mothers... thank you.

I think we can all say that when we became mothers our appreciation for our own grows tremendously. Looking back at what a bossy, mean daughter I was, I wonder how she didn't just kick me out at the age of 5. My hubby even says I was a brat when I was a kid. Don't worry I grew out of it... now I'm an angel.... haha. I love my children with all my heart, but they sure know how to drive a mom up the wall. Thank you Thank you Thank you mom for putting up with me, nurturing a testimony of Jesus Christ in my soul, teaching me emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, helping me learn from my mistakes and the mistakes of others. And over all, helping me become a mother just like you-- I'll never match up! You mean the world to me mom, I hope you know it everyday.

I'm also very grateful for the moms around the world who love and cherish their children. When I taught elementary school, I saw many parents neglect their children and toss them to the side. Seeing a mother protect, love, and play with her children is the most beautiful sight--so thank you to all of you mothers!

I had a wonderful day filled with crumb cake, hot cocoa, (no dirty diapers), flowers (bulbs for my new garden), hugs, kisses, and laughter. My boys sure spoil me!

Hope you had a fabulous mother's day!!

Official "Do-it-yourself-ers"

Yes, we are amazing.

When you need a home repair.. who you gonna call??? Us. Yes.

We can replace a light switch plate, replace a water filter, screw the stairs BACK onto the house, try to get the sprinkler system going with only a mild amount of flooding.

I know, I know-- we should charge for our services.

Now to figure out how to put up some blinds so that we don't have that white trash sheet for a curtain in the boys room.

Rocky Road and Bride Wars

Who else LOVED that movie?? SO cute! Gotta get me a copy! Brandon was even sweet enough to watch it with me... awwwww.

We've been getting caught up in all the little things we need to buy for this house. It just seems like the list never ends. Blinds, shovel, rake, lawn mower, a new bed, dishwasher parts, a gate for the fence, curtains, paint, etc, etc, etc. I guess being broke just comes with buying a new house. Haha. I hope the weather gets better so I can start getting my yard in shape. The weeds are driving me nuts!

My SIL, Magen, asked me to take pictures of the twins for their 3 month mark. They are just TOOOO cute! Love the little blessing outfits!

Together:

Maddy and Daddy:

Sweet yawn Max:

Angel Maddy---doesn't the sleeves on that dress look like angel wings??
Little Maxton:
Have a wonderful monday and an even better tuesday!

Ugh.... the dentist.

Yep, it's that time again. 8 cavities last time I went. Thought this time it would be a breeze. 3 more cavities. You'd think I never brush my teeth. Stupid flossing! Who does it anyways??? Grrrrrr....

Well, Logan loved it. He has so much fun because the dentist has flat screen TV's on his ceiling--he watched Batman and ScoobyDoo the whole time! Isn't he cute in his glasses?? He wanted me to leave. I'd ask him to smile and he'd just ignore me-- what was I thinking, interrupting Batman??? How could I?
Unfortunately, they finished with Logan before I was done and so he went running back and forth to my chair and to the waiting room. The lady would be brushing my teeth and he would push her hands out of the way to show me his new toothbrush. Then he'd run back to the waiting room and get his new floss to show me. This went on and on until he showed me all the stickers they had given him, the mini slinkie and all the extra goodies. I think he wore a path in the carpet!
