My patriotic man...

My poor baby. Two eye infections and a HORRIBLE allergic reaction to some baby wipes in a not-so-fun area. Yet, he's still in a good mood. The eye infections are in no-doubt from being poked in the eye multiple times by Kenzie and Logan, the spit in the eye didn't help anything either.

Funny: In the spirit of the Olympics, Landen has chosen to only fall asleep to My Country Tis of Thee hummed in his ear. Thank you Brandon for figuring this out when I had tried EVERYTHING.

Lynne's birthday is today-- Happy Birthday girl!! 17???? WOW, I can't believe it. We're going to Mom and Dad's to celebrate!

some funny stories...

Just some funny things Logan did this week. (funny now.... at least...)

1.) The baby woke up the other morning and usually Logan runs in to give his baby brother a kiss. He's so sweet, he'll say, " Oh, my baby brother's awake, I gotta kiss him good morning." Then he'll bug him to death with kisses. But that's not what happened that morning. Logan goes running in, as usual, then I hear the baby start to whimper (which is code for "come running mommy" in our house). Logan jumps off the bed with a big smirk on his face. this is what he said:

mommy: "Logan, what happened?"
Logan: "oh, nothing"
mommy: "Logan, why is the baby crying?"
Logan: (with a 16 year old attitude) Ooooooooh, I just spit in the baby's eyes."
Mommy: " You WHAT????"

Okay, where did he learn that? It's not like you see that on TV anywhere? Brandon and I don't spit in each other's eyes! Is this just something he randomly came up with??? I changed my mind, I don't want to know!

2.) So Landen has learned to hold his own:
As you know, Landen is almost crawling. He gets up on all fours and bounces back and forth. WHen he was doing this the other day, Logan right up to his face to bug him--as usual. Landen bounced forward and slammed into Logan's face. Logan looked up at me and started crying. I didn't feel too bad for him because he was bothering Landen, I just said, "well, next time don't go so close to his face." Logan starts crying really hard, which really is unusual. I kinda ignored it, thinking he was throwing a fit. He walks into the kitchen and there's blood running down his nose. Yea, Landen gave him a bloody nose. I don't think I need to worry about him defending himself anymore!

Seattle Trip Part 1

We just got back from our much needed vaca to Seattle. I was really worried about the boys in the car, but we got away with only a couple minor temper tantrums. Of course the day before we left, Logan had to get an eye infection-caused by rubbing half of a graham cracker in his eye. Don't ask me why, I'm still struggling to grip it myself. Then all my boys got colds literally the night before. So fun.

I swear we looked like we had picked up to homeless boys on the side of the road by the time we got to my parents. Logan had been listening to his DVD's with a HUGE pair of Brandon's headphones and it was apparently on it's last legs because when he finally took them off, the black foam had dissentigrated and was stuck on his face. That added to the snot he had smeared across his face before I could catch it with a kleenex. (sorry if your stomach is turning). I'm sure my mother was thinking of calling CPS on me.

We went to the Seattle Aquarium on Monday and got to see their new addition-which was very cool. Logan loved the Nemo fishy--what three year old wouldn't. I was kinda obsessed myself. hehe Mom got a Seattle City Pass which also had tickets for an Argosy Cruise. The kiddos really didn't have the patience for it as it was their nap time, but we got some great pics of the city. Wednesday we went to the Woodland park Zoo. Oma and Logan found some bongo drums and just had to bust out a song. The favorite animal by far--the bears!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Yes, this is exactly what I'm screaming in my head. Landen has taken an interest in CRAWLING! ugh! He's almost there and I'm sorry to say that I am not encouraging it at 5.5 months. That's way to early for me to have to baby-proof my house again. Brandon of course is in love with the idea--thinking Landen is sooooo smart for his age-hahaha!! I thought I had a couple more months of a stationary child. That's what I get for thinking!!

Gotta love that baby-pudge!!!

It's your birthday--shout HOORAY!!

Some one turned 3 yesterday!! Logan is getting sooooo big! I can't believe how much fun we had yesterday. Friday night he couldn't fall asleep he was so excited for his birthday. He could hear me in the kitchen making his cake and he would call out, "Mommy, you making my cake? Is it yummy?" I don' think he actually fell asleep until 11:00. We surprised him with doughnuts for breakfast and then we were busy getting ready for the party all morning. Everyone came over at 1:00 for our beach party. The kids had so much fun playing in the pool--gave the adults some time to talk for once!! The cake turned out cute, but not as big as I expected it to be, oh well! My rainbow popcorn was a big hit!!

Then Talia and Jordan had some extra tickets to the Rodeo that night so they invited us to come along. Logan LOVED it! We had to spoil him, of course with some cotton candy and a soda. Caleb and Logan danced whenever they played "Shake your bon bon" it was so cute. It was my first time to a rodeo, and I can't wait to go again next year!!! We got home at 10:00 and both the boys were asleep. What a fun day--I'm so glad Logan had a good time!

Logan blowing out his candles. He's wrapped in a towel so he didn't get everything soaking wet!

Opening presents-he got so much fun stuff.

Our party pooper--little guy slept the whole time.

fun fishy bags

my rainbow popcorn that the kids loved-and me, although I'm not sure if the adults liked it as much. Looks cool though!

My Rodeo Boys

Yeeehaw-that's what Logan kept yelling when the cowboys ride

Shake your bon bon, shake your bon bon

This picture cracks me up. NO he's not scratching, he's holding his bum while he shakes it for the camera. Look at Landen-- I think he's scarred for life. Haha!!!
